Boulogeorgos<\/strong>\u00a0has been promoted to the rank of\u00a0<strong>Associate Professor<\/strong>\u00a0and has joined the\u00a0<strong>Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/strong> at the\u00a0<strong>Democritus University of Thrace<\/strong> (DUTH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Prof. Boulogeorgos is one of the\u00a0<strong>founders and academic leaders<\/strong>\u00a0of SIRIUS, in the context of his new appointment,\u00a0<strong>part of the group\u2019s activities will now be hosted at DUTH<\/strong>, further extending the group\u2019s institutional presence.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Democritus University of Thrace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DUTH<\/strong>\u00a0was founded in\u00a0<strong>1973<\/strong>\u00a0with the aim of supporting higher education and research in the region of\u00a0<strong>Thrace<\/strong>\u00a0and Northern Greece. The University is named after the ancient philosopher\u00a0<strong>Democritus of Abdera<\/strong>, whose work symbolizes the long-standing intellectual tradition of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, DUTH operates as a&nbsp;<strong>multi-campus public university<\/strong>, with academic units in&nbsp;<strong>Xanthi, Komotini, Alexandroupoli, and Orestiada<\/strong>. Its mission focuses on providing sound academic education, fostering research activity, and contributing to the cultural, social, and economic development of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/strong>, based in Xanthi, supports undergraduate and postgraduate education and research in areas such as electrical systems, computer engineering, communications, and energy technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Looking Forward<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Boulogeorgos would like to\u00a0<strong>express his appreciation to the University of Western Macedonia<\/strong>\u00a0for its support. He remains grateful and looks forward to continuing collegial relations in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transition of part of SIRIUS to DUTH reflects the natural evolution of a collaborative academic structure that spans multiple institutions.
